Workflow guides
Configure low-stock alerts
Turn reorder levels into useful alerts without creating noise.
Establish the policy
Set a reorder point from normal demand during supplier lead time plus an agreed safety margin. Use the same unit as the controlled stock. Review seasonal or project-driven items separately.
Configure the rule
Choose the scope, threshold, recipients, and notification channel. Start with a small group of important items and make sure reserved stock is treated consistently with your replenishment policy.
Test the signal
Use a safe test item or controlled adjustment to cross the threshold. Confirm that one actionable notification appears and that it links to enough context to decide what to order.
Maintain it
Review false positives, ignored alerts, supplier lead times, and stockouts monthly. Change the underlying reorder inputs instead of muting useful warnings indefinitely.
