Move stock safely

Transfer stock between locations with a clear, auditable movement.

Identify the source

Start at the physical source. Scan the location or container, then the item. Confirm that the available quantity and unit match what is in front of you.

Record the destination

Enter the quantity and scan the destination label. Keep lot or serial identity with the stock. For multi-step transfers, use the defined transfer workflow so stock is not shown at the destination before it arrives.

Prevent common mistakes

Do not use an adjustment to represent a move: it loses the source-to-destination relationship. Do not combine unlike units or substitute a nearby item when a scan fails.

Verify

Complete the move and check both source and destination balances. The movement history should show one connected transaction with the correct operator and time.
