Scan and print labels
Use item and location barcodes for faster, less ambiguous floor work.
Decide what the code identifies
An item label identifies a catalog item. A location label identifies a place. A container label identifies a movable holder. Keep these identities separate even when they are physically close.
Configure the label
Choose a template that fits the printer and scanning distance. Include a human-readable name and code beside the barcode or QR code so work can continue if a scanner is unavailable.

The named DYMO, Brother, and Niimbot profiles use the browser and the operating system's installed printer driver. Itemra does not claim direct proprietary printer-protocol integration for those profiles. Record printer model, firmware, OS driver, browser, label stock, operator, and date during physical acceptance.
Print and test
Print a small batch first. Test the darkest and smallest labels with the actual mobile device or scanner, then place them where they remain visible during normal work.
Use scan confirmation
In receiving, moving, counting, and picking, read the resolved name on screen after every scan. Stop when the resolved identity differs from the physical label.
