Console tour
The shell, navigation styles, command palette, search, the Help menu, appearance controls, shortcuts, and the feedback widget.
The shell
The console is one workspace with a dark sidebar and a topbar. The sidebar groups everything into Operate (dashboard, floor mode, items, locations, containers, movements, reservations, pick lists, transfers, vehicles, tools), Flows (receiving, counting, labels, purchasing, purchase orders, automations), Partners (suppliers, manufacturers, projects, BOMs) and Admin (users, audit log, imports, reports, insights, settings). Items you lack a permission or plan capability for are hidden or shown with a lock.
The dashboard itself is a widget workspace — Edit layout lets you add, remove, and rearrange widgets (low stock, recent movements, count tasks, transfers in transit, currency values, and more), and each role gets a sensible default layout.
Command palette and search
Press Ctrl/⌘ K anywhere to open the command palette: it mixes navigation targets with live item, location, and container matches, and remembers your recent destinations. The arrow keys walk the results with a visible highlight, and Enter opens the highlighted one.
The topbar search field does full inventory search — items, bins, orders — and understands natural-language queries, so "relays below reorder point at main" is a valid search.
Organization and site switchers
The topbar shows which organization and which site you are working in. The site switcher scopes lists, stock figures, and dashboards to one site; people who belong to a single site never see the switcher. Site scoping is covered in depth in the sites and locations guide.
Appearance
The paint-drop button opens Console setup: pick an accent color, a navigation style — rail (default), dock, deck, or command-palette-only — and a density (comfortable, compact, relaxed). The sun/moon button switches light, dark, or system theme; the EN/NB chip switches language. All of these are personal preferences stored in your browser.

Help and release notes
The ⓘ Help button in the topbar is the shortest path into this manual: Help for this page opens the guide for wherever you are, and the menu also links Getting started, the workflow guides, the API guide, and the roadmap. What's new opens the release notes right in the app — each Itemra version described in plain language, so you can see what changed without leaving your work.
Notifications
The bell shows unread notifications — alerts you subscribe to, approvals, mentions, completed exports. The panel links each notification to its subject, and the notification center (View all notifications) keeps the full history. Per-kind delivery preferences live under Settings → Notifications.
Send feedback
The speech-bubble button (or Ctrl/⌘ Shift B) opens the feedback panel: it captures a screenshot you can annotate before sending, and reports go straight to the Itemra team with technical context attached.
