The audit log

The organization-wide audit trail: what it records, filtering, event detail, exporting, and retention.

What it records

The Audit log (Admin group) records who did what across the organization — record changes, settings edits, user and role changes, approvals decided, keys created, sessions revoked — each event with actor, timestamp, subject, and the change itself. Stock quantities have their own trail (the movement ledger); the audit log covers everything else.

Every consequential action, attributable.

Reading and filtering

Filter by event kind, actor, subject, and period; open any event for its detail — old and new values where applicable, plus correlation with the request that caused it.

What changed, by whom, from what to what.

Viewing requires the audit permission; it's typically an owner/administrator surface.

Export and retention

Audit history exports like other datasets (with audit-export capability on Business plans), for evidence packs and external archiving. How long the log is kept is configurable under Settings → Audit retention — set it to your compliance requirement, not to the default.
