Labels & printing
Label templates and the editor, printing item, location, and container labels, batch printing, and printer output profiles.
Show a code on screen
Click the small QR icon on an item, location, container, or vehicle page to show a code immediately. The icon is also available beside item and container list entries and in the location browser detail pane. Scan the code with the Itemra scanner on another device. No label template or printing is needed. The action is available to users with permission to view labels.
Templates
Settings → Label templates holds your label designs. Each template targets a label size and content: the barcode or QR code, the human-readable name and code beside it (so work continues when a scanner doesn't), and optional fields. Mark one template default per use; Preview renders it before anything is printed.
The editor edits layout and content directly — change, preview, save. Archived templates can be restored.
Print labels
Choose Print label on an item, location, container, vehicle, or stock record page. On a phone, open More actions in the page header when the button is hidden. The current object and its default template are selected; check the template, output profile, and number of copies before printing. The action requires label viewing and printing access and an enabled printing capability. Vehicles use location labels.
The location browser also prints individual labels or a location range. Lot, serial, kit, and receipt labels remain available through batch printing with prepared IDs; they do not have a dedicated detail-page print action.
For a photo label, set an uploaded item image as the primary image and include a photo field in the template. Check that the preview contains the image before printing.
Batch printing
Flows → Print labels queues many labels at once — new rack of locations, a received delivery, a re-labeling round — and prints the batch against one template. Search and pick the items, locations, or containers to include; when the batch comes from another system, a bulk-paste mode accepts a prepared list instead.

The named DYMO, Brother, and Niimbot profiles use the browser and the operating system's installed printer driver. Itemra does not claim direct proprietary printer-protocol integration for those profiles. Record printer model, firmware, OS driver, browser, label stock, operator, and date during physical acceptance.
Print and test
Text with a configured field width automatically shrinks to fit in previews and browser printing. Short text keeps its selected size. If a long name becomes too small to read, widen the text field or choose a larger label.
Print a small batch first. Test the darkest and smallest labels with the actual device or scanner at the real scanning distance, then place them where they stay visible during normal work. After printing, scan one back — the resolved name on screen is the check that the label, the record, and the shelf agree. See scanning for how scans resolve.
